And is three decades is a rather long time to not have any increase to adjust for inflation. Dorothea Lange’s photo of a migrant mother in Nippomo California made a difference to a lot of people. This is what Lange said of the experience, “I saw and approached the hungry and desperate mother, as if drawn by a magnet.
