He saved by going earlier not later in the day.\u00a0 The\u00a0 NY Times points out that drivers are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/06\/18\/us\/18shortage.html?ref=us\" target=\"_blank\">turning to lower (if we may call it that) priced fuels<\/a> even though their\u00a0 manual\u00a0 suggests a higher grade.<\/p>\n<p>Which kind of begs two question first\u00a0 on the necessity of <em>where <\/em>your choose to drive and second on the <em>choice<\/em> of your conveyance.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s step back to more of the day in and day out- do you pop in the car for that half gallon of milk or do you choose instead to walk down to the corner market? And what drove, and what will drive the choice you make for a new car? MPG seems to have bubbled all the way to the top of our concerns now. But why didn&#8217;t it matter so much before?<\/p>\n<p>GM is in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/servlet\/story\/LAC.20080604.RGMFUNDING04\/TPStory\/Business\" target=\"_blank\">midst of layoffs<\/a> while <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iht.com\/articles\/2008\/06\/16\/business\/hybrid.php\" target=\"_blank\">Toyota <\/a>is reporting a battery shortage that is restraining the production of their Prius.
